Board of Director's Meeting March 8, 2010

The Lions Board of Directors met at 11:00 am in the 4th Floor Boardroom today.

The Sectretary's Report was accepted. The Treasurer's Report indicating balances of $9,347.14 in the General Account and $8,697.23 in the Project Account was accepted.

Lion Mike Gallagher gave a brief update on the eLions Clubhouse. Our website address has been redirected to the new website. The eLions page has been designed and will become active as soon as Lion Mike and Lion President Paula have received training and the content has been uploaded. We hope to make a presentation to the entire Club on March 22.

Lion President Paula will have a final report on For Your Eyes Only at the next meeting.

Possible Melvin Jones Fellowship award recipients as well as Lion of the Year were discussed. the Board will vote for the MJF award this week so that the materials can be ordered in time for the presentatino later this Spring.

Lion Jason Jaeger reported on his contacts with Vision USA in an attempt to establish a procedure by which to screen vision requests. Our Club receives numerous requests for eye glasses and other vision related procedures each year. He will continue to work with Vision USA and a team of Lions to formalize this process.

A new member was approved, a membership tier transfer was approved.

Lion President Paula will complete the application for MD5 Club of the Year. The Club is selected through a point system based on attendance, recruitment and other activities.

Lion Mike Gallagher reported that a team of Past Presidents had met to create of Slate of Officers for 2010-2011. The slate will be confirmed this week and read three times starting March 15.
